Smart Health Benefits Association is a forward-thinking Canadian organization dedicated to advancing workplace benefits, policy advocacy, and sustainable healthcare access. As the organization expanded its national presence, it required a modern, scalable membership website capable of supporting multiple user types and delivering exclusive value to its members. The platform needed to clearly differentiate between three distinct membership tiers—Corporate Member Advisors, Industry Associate Advisors, and Independent Advisors—while providing a seamless onboarding and content access experience.

The primary objective was to design and develop a robust membership website that could support gated content and evolve into a centralized hub for Continuing Education (CE) courses. The platform needed to:
To meet these requirements, the website was built on WordPress, providing a flexible and scalable CMS foundation. Membership functionality was strategically offloaded to MemberSpace, allowing for secure, externalized user authentication and subscription management—significantly reducing system complexity and maintenance overhead.
To support dynamic content structures, JetEngine was implemented. This enabled the creation of custom post types for key sections such as Industry News and Featured Research Reports, ensuring content could be easily managed, filtered, and expanded over time.
This architecture resulted in a clean separation between content management and membership logic—delivering a high-performance membership website that is both scalable and easy to maintain, while positioning Smart Health Benefits Association for future growth in education and member engagement.
