The client, Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy (a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funding for research projects in support of the profession of pharmacy ), desperately needed a website update.

In addition to their fund raising initiatives, the foundation provides content for a large audience of community pharmacists, academia, entrepreneurs and many other participants in the pharmacy space. In other words, they needed the content to be fully searchable and easy to access, which was not the case prior to the redesign.
The news section for the previous incarnation of the site needed a total revamp, as the articles did not display any meta data on the front end. In other words, you couldn’t tell if articles were recent or a few years old.
Using the blog functionality of WordPress, we developed a blog roll that was fully searchable, using either a text search or filters for specific topics. Above all, the client also wanted to grow their mailing list, which prompted us to implement Mailchimp sign up forms on sidebars for both the archive page, as well as single posts.
